In general, the construction of driveways shall conform to the standards of sidewalk construction as set forth in the city of Auburn design and construction standards. Where excessive grade exists, as determined by the city engineer, an asphalt driveway is permitted. Construction details shall conform to the city’s standards. The city engineer may require additional thickness, reinforcement, strengthening of subgrade or other means of providing a stronger driveway when they deems it necessary.
