There is created a planning department of the city, which shall be under the supervision of the director of planning and development. The director of planning and development shall be appointed by the mayor. For the purposes hereon, whenever the Auburn City Code refers to a “planning director,” that shall be construed to mean and is consistent with the term “planning and development director.” (Ord. 6287 § 1, 2010; Ord. 4729 § 1, 1996.)
