6.02.090 Animals injuring humans, domestic animals, or livestock – Gross misdemeanor.

A. The owner or other person having control or custody of any animal is guilty of a gross misdemeanor if they have possession, custody, or control of an animal that, because of the owner’s negligence, causes injury to a human, domestic animal, or livestock which is acting in a lawful manner. Any such animal may be seized and impounded. Any penalties imposed under this section are in addition to any penalties or civil remedies imposed in relation to a declaration that a dog is dangerous or potentially dangerous.
B. A person who violates this section shall be punished as set forth in ACC 6.01.210. (Ord. 6424 § 2, 2012.)
