A. It is a violation of this chapter for any person to knowingly issue a check for which funds are insufficient or to stop payment on any check written in payment of fees in this chapter. Any license or penalty paid for with those types of checks are, in the case of the license, invalid; and in the case of the penalty, still outstanding. Costs incurred by the city in collecting checks of this nature shall be considered a cost of abatement and are personal obligations of the animal owner.

B. A person who violates this section shall be punished as set forth in ACC 6.01.210. (Ord. 6424 § 3, 2012.)
