A. Every building, appurtenant structure or premises within the city shall, where a telephone system is installed, also have telephone services or products installed which will properly interface with the E-911 system by making the following ALI-ANI information available to the PSAP’s receiving screen when any party within the system calls 911:

1. Name;

2. Address which is to include building number and unit number, if applicable;

3. Telephone number;

4. City;

5. Appropriate police and fire response;

6. Class of service (PBX, coin phone, residence).

B. In addition to the above requirements, service must also be provided which will selectively route 911 calls to the appropriate PSAP jurisdiction on any phone in the building, appurtenant structure or premises.

C. All building permits issued after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter shall require certification that the telephone system is capable of providing line-specific telephone number and location information. This requirement must be demonstrated before a certificate of occupancy is granted.

D. The owner(s) and/or occupant(s) or person(s) responsible for the conditions of any existing building, appurtenant structure or premises with PBX/CTX systems presently installed shall provide certification to the fire chief by July 1, 1995, that the telephone system is capable of providing the required ALI-ANI information.

E. Owners and operators of PBX/CTX systems shall provide to the fire chief a record of timely updates to the E-911 database. (Ord. 4570 § 2 (Exh. A), 1992.)
