A. Responsibility for administration of this section is vested with the chief of police.

B. The chief of police shall designate an alarm administrator to carry out the duties and functions described in this section.

C. Monies generated by false alarm fees and permit fees assessed pursuant to this chapter shall be dedicated for use by the police department for the administration of the provisions of this chapter.

D. The fees set forth in this chapter shall be included in the city of Auburn fee schedule and may thereafter be modified by city council amendment to the city of Auburn fee schedule. For purposes of this subsection, “fees” include any type or class of fee and includes late fees.

E. The alarm administrator shall conduct an annual evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of this section and identify and implement administrative system improvements as warranted, and shall recommend to the chief of police, mayor and city council suggested changes to the Auburn City Code as warranted.
