Any person performing work under permit pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall notify the city official, identified on the face of the permit, when the work will be ready for inspection and shall specify in such notice the location of the premises and the permit number. If the inspector finds that the work or the material is not in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, they shall notify the person doing the work and the owner of the premises by posting a written notice upon the premises, and such notice shall be all that is required to be given of the defects of the work or material found in such inspection.
