Neighborhood services” as listed herein are intended to include commercial establishments that provide goods and services that are considered to be basic to the needs of a local neighborhood, and the provision of which would typically be primarily within the local market area. For the purposes of Chapter 18.49 ACC, neighborhood services establishments include: bakery and pastry shops (products made must be sold at retail on the premises); produce markets; retail grocery stores; delicatessens, restaurants or sandwich shops, limited to a seating area of 25 seats; hardware stores; retail banks or bank branches; pharmacies; daycare facilities; or other services subject to the approval of the planning director.
