The installation or maintenance of a cross connection which will endanger the water quality of the city’s municipal water system is prohibited. Any such cross connection now existing or hereafter installed is a nuisance and shall be abated immediately. The control or elimination of cross connections shall be in accordance with WAC 246-290-490 or subsequent revisions, together with any future manuals of standard practice pertaining to the city’s cross connection control program approved by the city and the Washington State Department of Health.
