All permits issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be valid for a period of 180 days after the date of application approval. Permits may be extended one time by the city, for a period of 60 days, if an extension is applied for prior to the expiration of the time originally limited in the permit. If the time extension is not requested prior to the expiration of the time originally limited in the permit, an additional fee equal to one-half the original permit shall be charged if a time extension is granted.
